Want Want, formerly known as "Yilan Food Industry Co., Ltd." was established in 1962. They were mainly involved in the OEM and exportation of canned food. In 1979, it started to launch products and build its own brand "Want Want,” including a best-selling item "Want Want Senbei" that caused a ripple amongst consumers.

Want Want Senbei once achieved a market share of 95% in Taiwan, and later reached 85% of the market after entering China, firmly establishing Want Want's position in the snack industry.
