IBUMIE
When instant noodles were invented in 1959, all the flavors available were soup-based. It was not until 1982 we introduced the first dry-tossed noodles, Mi Goreng, to the market and spread them around the world. Ibumie is still the segment market leader with Mi Goreng after more than twenty years, due to our quality products.
Cultural Fusion
Ibumie instant noodles are hand-crafted to offer consumers flavors from the rich food culture and heritage of Penang Island, located off the western coast of Malaysia. The flavors of our noodles are an exciting fusion of three cultures: Chinese, Malay and Thai.
A Mother’s Cooking
“Ibu” means “Mom” in the Malay language. In the same vein, “Ibumie” instant noodles can literally be translated as “Mother of Noodles.” Ibumie aims to bring consumers a delectable plate or bowl of noodles just like mom's cooking, using authentic ingredients and delicious recipes.
An Exciting Range of Flavors
Inspired by the spirit of the Penang Peranakan cuisine, Ibumie developed a range of instant soup noodles with flavors such as white curry, shrimp, black pepper and miso, capturing the essence of Penang street food. Experience the vivid flavors of a beautiful tropical island, all without leaving your home.
